I need to find a shop that does those kinds of work "The Right Way".
What about those turbos that the nissan 350z uses on the exhaust can we get one on the W8 and maybee get more hp on the way?

No, the cats were not removed. The middle "suitcase" resonator is a small muffler, you could call it, that helps create the W8 sound. We have two cats, each located right after the exhaust manifold in the engine compartment. Those are still there.

The new muffler in the middle of the system is a Magnaflow 2.5" dual-in/dual-out resonator with an X pipe built in. This helps to equalize the exhaust pressure in both lines.

Also, Magnaflow doesn't make Passat specific parts- just universal ones.
