Let use this thread, to compile a list of wheels that work on our W8's (clear the front calipers, fit in the wells, etc.).
Please include all info (or as much as you can), in a chart form. Should be easier to quickly read like this rather than paragraphs, but feel free to type any extra info afterwards, such as "may rub a little bit if lowered a lot", etc. Also, feel free to included tire sizes, that work as well...again if you know. Please include a picture of the wheel itself, or on the car if at all possible. Thanks! Manufacturer: TSW
Make/Model vehicle: Mercedes Wheel name: Mandrus Emil Diameter: 19" Width: 8.5" Offset: 32 Tire sizes used: 235/35/19 Minor rubbing in front, when vehicle is lowered down to about a 1 finger gap. Rubs on the upper wheel well liner mounting point on the liner itself, eventually it will just burn thru the plastic. Rears are fine. ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by JimmyPringles - 31-Jan-2009 at 03:46 |

Manufacturer: not sure (pm me if you know and I'll update) Make/Model vehicle: Volkswagen/Phaeton Wheel name: Challenge Diameter: 18" Width: 8.5" Offset: 45 Tire sizes used: 235/40/R18 ![]() ![]() No rubbing. Very little clearance between the tire and the wheel bearing housing - though this distance is fixed. Clearance should be OK with the car lowered, but not confirmed. |

Hey moderator lets try and keep this thread on topic.
![]() ![]() Anyways... Manufacturer: Speedline Make/Model vehicle for/from: Audi A6 (C6 2004-07) "Sportline". Wheel name: Diameter: 18" Width: 8" Offset: ET48 Tire sizes used: 245/40/18--Blown out. ![]() Pic "borrowed" from elsewhere. Forgot my camera last night when I test fitted, so took some pics with my cell phone. I will try and get them off the cell tonight (if they came out half way decent). They clear the caliper by 1/2 a millimeter. I know clearance is clearance on a fixed point, but I wouldn't feel comfortable rolling on them without at least a 5mm spacer. They tuck a little bit too, so a 5mm spacer would make them sit perfect. As far as tires (again had a blown 245/40 from previous owner), this size cleared as it sat, and would clear with a 245 but I think it is a little too wide for an 8" wheel (would have buldge). A 225/40/18 would give a nice "baby" stretch, and sit nicely in the well with a 5mm spacer. I told myself if I needed spacers, I wasn't going to bother, & just turn around & sell them, but I really like the way they look on the wagon. So, looks like Im going to be investing in some spacers, and some tires. ![]() Edited for pics on the car: ![]() ![]() Edited by JimmyPringles - 26-Feb-2009 at 01:05 |

Sorry for not responding sooner, I dont know how I missed that post. While I do not know the OEM cost of those I do (still) have them for sale. Original FS thread with pics & details: Mercedes Wheels If you are in LI/Local (no shipping), I'll give you a way better price then what I have listed. |
