I was surprised to see that the yearly cost of insuring my W8 is less than $700/year. While I do have a $500 deductable I also have full collision coverage.

What are you all paying?

I think mine is around 1100 (full coverage). I feel it's way too much - I pay another $400 or so for just liability on the Bronco. I get a multiple car discount and 8 years or so of "good driving" - doesn't seem to help much.

Guess what living in New York City gets you, with almost being 40, and an impeccable driving record.......

I pay about $71/month for full coverage, $500 deductible. I am 27, a homeowner, and have a clean driving record.

keep 'em coming!! you are all just giving me reasons to get out of NYC again.

Back in the late 90's (my mid/late 20's), I was driving a 88 Taurus, and it was costing me $1300 a year just for liability, and that to me was "normal". When I left NYC, and moved to SoCal I ended up getting a newer Taurus (88 blew up), and financed part of it. Because of that, the sales woman at the dealership, told me it had to be fully insured (...and based off my NYC mentality I began sweating). She then totaled it up, and told me full coverage would be $900 for the year. I almost had a heart attack, & did a double take in relief. I actually thought for a moment she made a mistake. I never even fathomed insurnace being that cheap elsewhere.

I paid £350 (Around $520 or so) for a year with 20k business miles and 5k personal miles. 30 years old, full no claims bonus and no points. I thought it was excellent!
