Looks like I forgot to post an intro!

I live in Cambridge but work in Breslau at the family business Welder Series Inc. We make and sell hot rod chassis parts. I've been in the hobby/ business all my life.

Volkswagen is the only kind of car I have ever owned, from two 1990 jettas, to a 93 golf, to a 99 vr6 jetta, and now to my 02 W8 wagon. I put Flowmaster mufflers on the Jetta (www.youtube.com/tripwalking) and it was pretty low on 17" Siata wheels.

I have H&R springs for the Passat, but haven't got around to clearing off the lift to install them yet. I would also like to install Flowmaster mufflers... maybe in the spring.

I do have an extended warranty, and I'm sure it's paid for itself already with the replacement of the torque converter.

I'm in Ontario too, and just got my W8 a couple of months ago. I just posted to ask you what kind of wheels are the ones in the original pics of your car? I think that is my favourite wheel for the car and would love to get a set for mine.

Thanks, Michael.

Hi Michael

Those are commonly called Fat Fives... they're from an A6 with the 4.2.

They're now powdercoated a yellowy gold colour.

Thanks for the reply. Are they the 48mm offset wheels, same as an A8, or were the A6 versions different? I want to know what to look for when I search for a set.

Thanks, Michael.

I got the A6 wheels installed on my car recently, it's looking much more like the way I want it to. What center caps fit the wheels? I notice that you have VW logos, mine still have the Audi caps. Thanks in advance.
