I actually saw another W8 for the first time in 12 months of ownership. Identical to mine but with some additional trim and parked in front of me.

I own a W8, I just can't part with the beast. I've got a Passat R36 too, but there is something about the W8's character that means I am rather attached to the old girl. It's an expensive addition though! Sometimes she has to sit broken for a little while, before I can afford to get her going again, but what a treat when she works. The noise through the magnaflows is epic and its such a lazy, effortless and endless acceleration.

I've been through a gearbox, torque converter, power steering pump, high-pressure pas hose, aircon condenser, evaporator & compressor, rear diff seals, climate control ecu, airbag ecu, a xenon level sensor, 5 coil packs, shocks/springs/anti-roll bar and more oil than is under the sea (5k changes).

I've also treated it to Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust, 2-piece front disks and a remap.

When does this end? I have no idea... The only problem with a W8 is, every-time you drive it - you wonder what's going to break next...

I feel your pain!! Just popped in a new front drive axle. 2.5 hours and $80. Not bad, but at 70K miles, I thought a little premature.

Used to own one. Still stop in everyone now and again. Now driving a 330xi, though looking to sell and get something else. Tired of the BMW-sized payment.
