Over on ukpassats they're playing 'the range game' with all the tdi owners up in the 800's.

I thought that there'd be no point joining in, but we got stuck in convoy on twisty welsh roads yesterday...

Quite impressed with that. It was up at 510 at one point, but wasn't safe to get a picture and it dropped as we went through town.

Very nice... almost unbelievable...! Of course, the math on that rarely works out as favourably in the end.

I broke 700km (about 450 miles) on a tank for the first time recently, on a New England road trip.

Yeah... damn those TDI drivers!

I have had mine show 1010 km left, 90 km after a fillup, most boring trip I've ever made.

Went on a trip on saturday to Stockholm with a friend, with him driving a Subaru Legacy 3.0R, Almost empty highways, 240 kmh most of the way, consumption: 14 L per 100 kmh, or 20.18 US MPG, not cheep, but definitely not that expensive.

I managed to the following on a run from Sussex to Bedfordshire:

Spookily, I'd already driven for about 90 miles when I took that photo...

Given the context of the message, I'm guessing that's the dash from a TDI Passat...

Yeah, that's my Jetta TDI cluster (I did a swap, to get the FIS function).

Good eye, though - wow! Can't sneak anything past you folks!
