Does anyone know where I can get a new shift knob? The "W8" and "4 motion" are worn on mine.

They are still available via VW. I purchased one a few months ago from http://1stvwparts.com, they come along with the leather boot.... around $130. In their online catalog, you'll find them under the following sub-menus: Interior & Seats, Console, Front Console, Shift Knob Best wishes, Peter |

Is it a W8 one or just normal Passat one? I don't see anywhere saying anything about it being for the W8.

If it helps, it appears that the VW part number for the shifter knob and boot is 3B0 711 113 AT. The part number has suffixes for various leather colors.
I can't be 100% sure this is the specific one for the W8 but it's definitely a wood knob and boot for a 4Motion car. |

I need one. The knob in my car is okay but the "W8" and "4 motion" are worn.

A bit hard to see here... but the knob does have "W8" on the top of the knob. ![]() |

Awesome! It just seems so weird it doesn't ask for any trim level. Passats came with so many different options for transmissions and shift knobs, you'd think it'd be more specific.

Should not the "4" be red?

ETKA should list in the notes if its for a 6-speed, which in the US would be W8 only on the passat. i will take a look tomorrow when i get home from work at my ETKA and see what comes up for the shift knobs if someone wants me to. Edited by vwb5t - 21-Dec-2013 at 02:27 |
