I went with the following (UK based):

http://www.click4warranty.co.uk

They seem to offer comprehensive and competitive cover. 2 years *5 Star* cover for everything including 4 wheel drive system and full ABS cover came out at £550 which seemed good to me. I checked and it definately covers the torque converter too!

Check out this link on the Vortex Phaeton forum. They have problems we could never lose sleep over. They warranty appears to be from VW.

Chris here from VW of Langhorne in Langhorne, PA.

The VW RealDriver extended service contracts have changed as of Jan 01,2008

They have now combined the new car extension w/ the used car extension and have come up w/ one main plan.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with VW's dealership extended warranty. It sounds great, full coverage on the entire vehicle, covers parts (brand new vw parts) and labor. There is also no pre inspection. The only downside is the cost, of course. Any thoughts, suggestions?

I had VW's Platinum warranty when I bought my '99 Passat new. I believe I only used it once or twice during my 7 years of ovnership but it was very easy since the VW dealership handled everything.

Hey I just want to thank Chris from VW who helped me get a bomb ass deal on a VW extended warranty. The finance guy at my dealership was trying to rip me off on a 3 year warranty for around $3900. I was able to talk him down to $2300 and a $0 deductible at their dealership and $50 at any other dealership. Wow what a relief to have a potential heavy burden off my shoulders.
