Just got back from a 2k trip and the front brakes vibrate pretty bad at the slightest brake pressure once your over 50mph. The front rotors are stock and I have 107,000 mi. The pads are fairly new and I bedded them in but the vibration had been very slowly increasing over the last year. Should i replace the rotors with OEM or is there something better aftermarket?

Check the pads for uneven wear ... and that all 4 pistons retract smoothly: I ended up getting rebuilt calipers as a couple of pistons were seized.

If your break pedal feels a bit soft despite the brakes having been bled correctly, a failing front wheel bearing will allow the rotor to precess ( oscillate), thereby pushing the pistons back .... that leads to a soft pedal when first touching the brakes - and some vibration.

Do you have any recommendations for rotor and pad brands for replacement items OEM aside?
I'll have to do both front and back

I see all kinds on eBay, etc etc
Any suggestions are appreciated

there are any number of good brake parts out there. not sure what is available for the W8, but make sure you don't buy $25 rotors. I'd expect to pay at least $100 for front rotors, and about $40 to $50 for front pads. make sure you put anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads.

I'd recommend just the OEM rotors - they have a nice silver anti-corrosion coating and they're reasonably priced. On the pads I've used OEM as well, but there are probably some better options.

Note that you are looking for part number 4B3615301A for the fronts - 321 mm diameter x 30 mm thickness.

I have used Zimmerman rotors, but also from these (local) guys http://www.crossdrilledrotors.ca/ Skip the cross drilling & go for the top grade solids ... 321mm front & opps - forget the rear diameter
