Good Evening,

I would like your opinions on the the following wheels for my '03 variant:

or

I am having to "return" my current set 'o wheels under warranty because the clear coat on the machined lip is lifting and very spotty. The black Petrol wheels are high gloss with a stainless steel lip, while the other one is hyper-silver, also with th stainless lip.

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. I;m not even sure if they will fit, although the wheel "looks" like it will with the proper offset. The offset options are et20, et32, or et45 for the tires I will reuse (less than 5000miles).

What do you all think? Help is needed and appreciated!

Offset of +32 will work. I dig the wheels, what size are you running?

Are you sure they will clear the massive front brakes without spacers. I ordered ADR M-Sport Wheels purely because i loved the look and they didnt clear the calipers, and the offset was 35mm. I would of needed atleast a 12mm spacer just to clear. Im not saying your wrong im just very interested in those wheels as well.

I cannot say with 100% certainty. I am going off personal experience. I have a pretty flat faced wheels with a +32 offset and no issues.

I get the feeling these won't fit the uu8. The August brand wheels look nice.....at least I know they, the Union or the Werke, will fit around the HP-2 caliper.

Oh, the trouble we W8 owners face!

Four new reasons to love thy W8 again!

The Verde 55's are no more- I returned them to Schwab because the clear coat on the machined lip was flaking off and it looked horrible! Cover under warranty, none the less.

It was not easy to decide which wheel to purchase for my W8, due to the HP-2 caliper in the front. Not every wheel would fit. Definitely didn't want any more chrome on the car. So I decided to go with the Vortex wheel TSW because a) I like them, b) they would fit my damn car, and c) well....I guess there isn't a "c" or any reason to put these reasons in list form.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what you guys think. Thanks for looking!

Before:

And now, a little less "Blinged" out:

Wheels: 18x8 Hyper-Silver TSW Vortex
Tires:    235 40 R18 Toyo Proxies 4 (just runnin' No Seasons for now)

I can't beat the hyper silver powder coat. Love it.
