Thanks for sharing, Stewart. Good info to have. Do you know what the labour rate is ($/hour)?

Also, what do we know about part numbers for any "new and improved" parts? Any way to tell?

So they didn't do both sides... bummer.
07D-109-210-E Timingcase 901.05 --> Cylinders 1-4
07D-109-088-E Adjuster 571.23 --> Exhaust cylinders, 1-4
07D-109-088-D Adjuster 571.23 --> Intake cylinders, 1-4

For the thermostat - the gasket 07D-121-091-E replaced this go round has a different suffix than the one used 5/3/2005 - it was "07D-121-091-D".
I'm guessing the 07D-109-088-E and 07D-109-088-D are the new ones.
Disappointed they didn't do both sides, but I'm happy to have my car back!!!
Tomorrow I'll be doing another oil and filter change.
I've converted to Pentosin High Performance 5W-40 (502.00/505.00) as I can buy it less than 15 miles from home.

It is a mechanical marvel, or nightmare, depending on your opinion.
Unlike a "normal" thermostat, it is filled with parafin and has a heating element built in.
The ECU monitors the intake and outlet water temperature, looks at what the engine is doing, and can send voltage to the heating element to open the thermostat before it normally would under severe operating conditions.
