I've got H&R springs and new shocks but I'm wondering if anyone has found sway bars (front or rear) for the W8?

I know H&R makes a 32mm front sway bar for the b5.5 - someone tried that out on the W8 yet? Bad body roll on these cars...

Found this for the rear:

Looks like it's for an FWD Passat - "rear beam".
H&R may make a bigger rear bar for the 4Motion Passat.
I do know that some A4 Quattro jockeys have cracked rear suspension members by going with overly large rear bars.
Do you have the standard 15MM or the 1BE 17MM rear bar currently?

It looks like I may have found a 19mm rear...$176.20

I just have the standard 15mm as far as I know. I do know about the factory 17mm but didn't want to drop the $140 if there's something else a little bigger for not much more $. Where'd you find the 19mm? Link?

I looked online and the W8 h&r spring kit only lowers the car 1.3 in the front and 1.1 in the back. Are there spring kits that go lower? I don't think its worth the money ( i was quoted $627 plus tax to install these) to only lower the car an inch..i was thinking around 1.75-2 inches

Maybe i'll find another place to install them

I have H&R's and the drop is damn close to 2" in front and 1.75" in back. The front wheels have a VERY nice tuck under the fenders. I have Koni shocks, which I believe helps the ride height. I think the Bilsteins sit higher, but that's just my .02.

I'm probably going to drop the back to match the front height.

Also, if you're going to replace the springs, do the shocks at the same time. It might cost more up front, but it'll cost you more to do it separately. Plus your stock shocks will wear out quickly. Might as well do it all at once.

EDIT: If you're not happy with the drop results, the only way you're going to get the "slammed on its nuts" look is coilovers, which are going to be at LEAST twice as much as a spring/shock combo.

HTH!

Awesome!

Do you have pictures of your car?

Also, what are the model #'s for the springs and koni shocks you used?

Thanks,
