I'm going to do the 2-din Pioneer stereo swap next week and wanted to know if anyone has swapped out their door speakers as well. What speakers did you go with? Any suggestions? What size should I be looking at for simple bolt in (don't want to have to cut or modify anything to make them fit)?

I know nothing about stereos, but if I'm gonna do it I'm gonna do it right.

Crutchfield.com says the factory speakers are 6-3/4" and nothing matches that size. FIGURES. Lol.

Thanks guys.

NM, called Crutchfield and they hooked me up.
Got 4 Infinity Reference 6022si w/ adapters and a RCA RC200.4A amp. Can't wait to get all this in.

I presume the B5.5 speakers are the same as the MkIV - meaning they are mounted on a stand-off ring that is riveted to the door panel. You'll have to drill out the rivets - not a big deal. There's also a rubber baffle that fills the gap between the speaker and the grill on the door panel - if you're lucky, you'll be able to use them somehow with the new speakers.
