I would like to know what the word "metal head" translates to in German. (For those who don't know the term it's a word that describes a person who listens to heavy metal/hard rock.) I think it would make a great Europlate idea for me since it expresses who I am.

I have a new "regular" plate coming as well...no more OOHSNAP! I'll give you a hint...it relates more to the W8!

Metall-Kopf?

I think....

or Metall Gehirn, for "metal brain"...

OK... here are the poll results.

The words you're looking for are:

"Metaller" - most mainstream name for metalheads.

"Mattler" - colloquialism, not on wikipedia or in any dictionary... probably regional... good!

"Metall-J√ľnger" = metalboys/children of metal. Also, "Heavies".

"Metalhead" is also used directly, but spoken with German accents/inflection, like much other English slang. :P
