Wow, that looks great! Out of interest, is it costly to have a personalized number plate in the US? Here in the Uk prices range from the reasonable to the very expensive.

If you are at all interested have a look at these two sites:

www.regtransfers.co.uk

www.dvlaregistrations.co.uk

The ultimate number here would be A1 which is probably priceless!
Coverted numbers would be any letters followed by a '1'

I have my three initials followed by 84 for various reasons.

Happy motoring!

I don't know about other states, but in Iowa it's not too bad. A regular vanity plate is $25, but if you want a collegiate plate (University of Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Iowa) it's an extra $25 which goes to the school. So my plate was $50, and they tack on an extra $5 every year when you renew the registration.

It costs me $41 for the standard plate (white based), I don't know how much more if I choose the other base, but to retain it shouldn't be that much. The waiting time is kinda sucks tho.

depends on what state.. Illinois is a basic $25 plus some extras, so about $75-100 after all the fees. Indiana is different- it's based on the value of the car, so if you have a brand new $40,000 car, they charge you like $700 to register it. Vanity is even more. The more the car depreciates, the less it costs to renew the tags. My '95 astro costs $30 to put a plate on it.
