Just got them mounted and balanced. A little bit "bigfooting", but I don't think it's too bad. A drop is on the list, but it will likely wait till I have a real job.





For reference, the wheels are 18x8.5 ET45. Tires are 235/40/R18. Clearance is pretty tight on the font, about 4mm between the tire and the tie rod mount (what I'd call the steering knuckle), but no rubbing!


They are hollow cast, kinda cool. Leeched this off a Passatworld post:

Wish my phaeton wheels were hollow cast as I struggle to lift the bugg*rs on mine!!

. hmm. If we're talking OEM, I like the Helios a lot too, and the RS4's w/ the thin spokes. OEM for a Passat? I think the BBS VZ, can't deny the Madras a nod though.

Non OEM - there's so many options, but anything BBS is nice... and incredibly expensive! I've seen a lot of black centers w/ polished lips, I have to say that's growing on me.

I'm set w/ these wheels though - I decided I want a clean look.

So, what your guys' favorite OEM wheel?
