Anybody have try to clean the Climatronics system, I haven't had the time to pass by vw and let them do it. I'm in a urge to get it clean up, hate bad smell coming from the air conditioning or the heater.

When did you last change your cabin filter? Do you use the carbon one or just paper?

Well I thought by changing the air filter the smell wouldn't be there anymore. But it is still there. Bought it at the Dealer so the original I should say.

Nice Thanks.
I was looking at the prices and it was kind up high. It will be less expensive to take it to the dealer and get it done. Although it may not be as clean as the product Mist product promises.

Thanks for the great post. I will take it in consideration, I will keep searching for more choices

Does anybody knows if the Passat has an Cabin pollen filter or air filter. On the inside of the car.

Not sure about your dealers in the US, but in the UK when getting the Aircon serviced, they also have a 'bactria service' where they put something into the aircon unit to kill off any bugs/horrible smells. It doesnt cost much, about £10-£15 but is said to make quite a difference, so might be worth your while investigating this if you do decide to take it in.

Thanks for that comment W8 CYA I probably will ended up taking it in. Even though I don't like anybody messing with my car. Whenever I take it in I will ask them for that Bacteria Service.
